I discovered (well saw on Stephenie Meyer's site ages ago but just used) playlist.com. It's awesome!! You can create an account, then add songs to your playlists by searching by song or artist name.
I am using it to try out some artists I heard on the Twilight soundtrack that I think I'd really like. Better to try it for free than buy a whole stinker CD! Plus I added some old songs that I had on CDs that got stolen along with my purse a few years ago.
I highly recommend the site. You can share your playlists, etc. but I just want it for myself. Books and music are my two passions, and any way to get one for free is just fine with me!

Amazon is a great place to figure out songs, titles, artists, versions, etc. Under the albums, you can often play parts of songs. Helps with sound tracks like you're talking about. Also great for getting the right version of a one hit wonder. You can't download a whole song or anything, but you can get the version right and the artist from it.
